No arguements on that......No doubts about that!!!
This is freaking lousy!! I can't believe I'm putting on the pounds so easily now. The fats on me must be growing an inch every day! ARGH!!
I've always been a big eater but I didnt gain weight that easily before. But now, everything I eat seems to be multiplying into fats in my body!! And I have a big bulging tummy!! This is freaking bad!!! My tummy used to be flat just a few months back!
After much brain-storming, i came up with an excellent weight management programme for myself:
-I'm going to the gym with my colleages from next week onwards. At least once a week, during lunch. N i'm gonna use the treadmill, hoping to burn the fats away by running.
-I'm sticking to either a meal or two a day. (I'm serious about this!)
-No more snacking in between meals. I just cleared the snack corner at my workstation. Good start!
-Everytime I feel like snacking, i'm drinking water. (Water won't make you gain weight rite?) At least, tat's healthier.
I'm gonna bring the old Kethrine back.....maybe not the boney one but the one with a flat tummy!

Ranting with A Migraine!!!
This is sucky. Suddenly I'm very busy with school projects. I didn’t feel this stressed even I was taking three modules last semester.
Damn, i didnt believe when one of my classmates was saying that TV and Radio Production was stressful till I started it. I thought it would be more fun. Actually it is fun, working in the studio with the cameras, lighting and production but at the same time stresssful when u have to co-ordinate your own production project.
We have a studio news production and a radio talk show production due in 3 weeks and getting everyone to meet is just sooooo difficult.....argh.......I guess the next 2 weekends are going to be burnt. I still have an essay for my Monday class to finish up. Argh!!!! I'm having a migraine, trying to come up with the scripts!
That aside, I really need to rant.....
Someone close is driving me nuts. So much so that I'm starting to mind my own business now. But its a bit difficult trying to do that especially when its someone really close.

Little Miss Piglet!
Deepavali came and went....just like tat.....fast rite......But this year was good n different. Went visiting full swing, visited more houses than normal and this year, I wasnt alone..... :) The feeling's good....
Before I go further on the Deepavali happenings...
.....I'm officially attached and I'm happy after a loooooong time. Finally found someone who sees me as who I am. I was skeptical in the beginning (as always) but Victor proofed himself at the right time and I guess I decided to take the plunge. I really hope things work out well and everything ends well also.

Alrite, this year's Deepavali was good. Victor and I decided to take up the challenge of braving the last-minute crowd at the Deepavali expo on the eve and I was terrified at the crowd. But it was a nice new experience since I'm always home on Deepavali eve.
I wanted to take more shots but I gave up, looking at the crowd. So I only managed one shot of the Deepavali decorations. The deco isnt really very fantastic this year but I did like the purple theme and the spinning lights.
After all that walking and banging and pushing, we both managed to get a seat and I ordered my favourite drink-Milo Dinosaur and guess what-Its Milo Dinosaur Deepavali Special!! Hahahaha!!! I couldn't resist taking a pic!!!! But i didn't really like have coloured chocolate rice on my drink....kinda spoiled the taste....
Deepavali was nice. Started off as usual with Indra Auntie's house being the first. Had a first ever visit to temple on Deepavali on Victor's request. Then we headed to my friend, Jarry's place and then I went to my aunt's place. Met Victor again in the evening and our last stop was his friend, Mark's place. A total of 5 houses in one day! Shaggadelic!!! Thank god I was on leave the next day!
And u know what! My punjabi suit that I had stitched for Deepavali, 2 months back, was freaking tight!!! I was practically suffocating in it!!!! Damn! This shows that I had put on alot of weight like nobody's business!!! Argh!!! Time for some weight management now!!!! Argh!!!!

So i'm supposed to be excited.....seriously I'm not.....I have no freaking idea why......But I'm trying to.......
Actually there are more stuff that I should be excited and happy about but I'm just not really 100%......why am I not?
I guess its the ugly truth that my family, which is my own mum, dad and bro, is really a screwed bunch. Sad eh.....sigh.....the truth always hurts......oh well, life goes on right.....what the hell.....underneath it all, i'm still happy.....A new-found happiness, lovely friends who
always keep the goodness going around me. I love you all! You know who you are :)
I'm telling myself to get excited about Deepavali. I've got 2 extra houses
to visit and it means more yummy food....ahh....that sets the mood.....what else but food to perk me up!

My surprised 25th birthday:
-I almost didnt attend my own surprise birthday! I wasnt really in the best of moods and with my exams the folllowing week, I was very inclined to sms Kanzy that I can't make it but thank god, I changed my mind in the last minute and decided to go. Hadnt I gone that day, alot of things wouldnt have been possible. Guys, thanks again for making that day so freaking wonderful and special.
Toasting to the cancelled engagement! Only we girls are capable of celebrating such an event!!!! I like Mango Magarita!!! Niceeeee............

-After a major breakout of events, calm kind of returned and Minah and I had a nice chocolate fondue and Hindi movie couple outing. The movie wasnt that fantastic but the chocolate fondue was, as always. Navin and Victor were amazed on how crazy we both were about Chocolate fondue. All they had was just coffee. I wonder how they can not be interested in attacking the
fondue. Those two got no life! Minah and I were having a Choc-gastic time!!!
-Bought my nephews out for a nice dinner at Ang Mo Kio Mac since their exams had ended. Bought the little princess along too. See how cute is she......just like the auntie.....guess she got her looks from me......hahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!

The pounds are piling up...

Getting flu = NOT romantic....*sniff sniff*...........
The next time I go East Coast, I'm going to make sure that I bring a extra set of clothes, basic toiletries, a towel and a big umbrella! Sigh.....*sniff sniff*
I'm settling into my job at Creative. I've been here for almost a month and I'm enjoying the quietness here. Now I know my way here better. This is humiliating but I got lost in the my office during my first week at work. Its a freaking big office!!! And they are just too many doors around here!! But now I'm more familiar with the place. I don't anyone to bring my the correct exit anymore.
Like I mentioned I'm the only Indian here. N everytime my boss introduces me to someone, she never fails to mention the fact that i understand Chinese and the other person never fails to give a surprise look....funny.....I dont have a problem working with a totally Chinese enviornment and i think the others are getting used to seeing me around. No more surprised and wierd stares.....stare stare lor, i dont care......
Why I like my new job:
-Its near my home, in Jurong. I can wake up later and i travel less! Yippie!
-I dont have a dress code!! I can wear jeans and casual attire to work.....is that cool or wat!
-I dont have to meet any parents or public. Nothing at all. I dont even have to talk to vendors from whom the purchasing is done. The engineers here do it.
-It is not totally desk-bound. I still get to walk around, collecting samples and despatching documents.
-Its a simple job.
-I get staff discount on Creative products!! At a good rate too!! If any of u want to get Creative products, tell me ok. I can check and let you know how much I can get it for. But I must know u first... :)
-There is a vending maching in the pantry and the drinks are only 10 cents. We have free biscuits also-big tins of them.
-There are sooooooo many cute looking Chinese guys in my office!!!! Not forgeting the ang moh designers....WOW!!!
Now here's why I dont like my new job:
-Its a torture to travel in the shuttle bus to and from Jurong East MRT. The queue for the bus is always freaking long. The journey which is less than 5 mins, always ends up longer than it should, thanks to the stupid jam!!
-The toilet and the pantry are unfairly very far from me. Its a freaking big office here! I have to plan my toilet visits. I fill up my water-bottle everytime I go to the toilet so that I dont make extra trips.
-I can't surf the net during office hours coz they have a tracking system and send yr Head of Dept a monthly memo on yr Internet usage. I don't know if he bothers to go through that but I don't want to take my chances.
-The MSN connection here sucks big time! So my chatting opportunities are very limited. I resort to chatting through emails nowadays.
-My boss sits behind me, which means she can clearly see what is on my PC screen. Although she has given me the green light that I can surf the net or chat discreetly, i rather maintain my discipline. A woman is still a woman. No matter how nice we are, we never know when we'll turn into devils.
-My office is super quiet most of the time, even during lunch time. I sometimes whisper when I talk on the phone, just in case my normal voice tone is too loud.
I told myself that I would keep the deco on my table minimal. For now, I only have 2 photos on my CPU and super small chocolate counter. Am restraining myself from any further additions coz I can still remember how I lugged 2 big luggage bags full of stuff back home after I cleared my table at MOE. It was torture!
Did i mention that I'm no longer all skin and bones now. I have put on weight....and alot of it!!! My clothes are tighter and i have a tummy bulging out, all thanks to pigging out too much!!! But i think i look better now, not so skinny as before. I jus got to maintain it like this. Now I've really got to watch my food intake.
I'm still waiting for Minah to send me my birthday pics! And as always she's taking forever!!!! But I really wanna say thanks to Kanzy, Thuggy, Sumi, Minah and Rathika for giving me the best surprise of the year and also the opportunity for me to start on something new. :) I love u all alot!!! *MUACKS*

I see light in the dark....
Ket is back!!!
I feel so guilty for abandoning my blog for soooo long......Its been a month, isnt it....wow, tat's a looong time!! Am tellin myself not to do it again....I miss blogging...
September and October have been a huge roller-coaster ride for me......So many events in just 2 months......My life couldn't have gotten more drama mama and action-packed than this!! Hahaha!!! But like some famous people say: 'Everything happens for a reason' and 'All well ends
well'......and things do seem to be looking on the bright side now. Everything seems to getting peaceful now.... good :)
Update time!
-Career: I'm no longer with MOE, nor am I with the company I left MOE for. I left the job coz I couldn't stand the boss. Now I'm working with Creative Technologies, in a quiet and simple position which has minimal or very little stress. Its pretty quiet though and get boring at times, compared to my previous job at MOE but I like the quietness. Am with a small unit and I'm the only blackie there, i mean the only Indian there....hehehe.....I'm contended for now :)
-Marriage: I almost got engaged! Serious!! Met a groom early Sep and I was almost to be engaged to him in end Oct. Thank god, i managed to stand up for myself and call it off! I feel so freaking relieved now!! :)
-Love: I'm seeing someone!!! Life works in funny ways, let's see how this works! :) For now, I'm happy! :)
-Friends: Wat will I do without them!!!!!!! My darlings did the sweetest thing for me that really perked me up during one of the hardest times in my life. They celebrated my birthday for me by giving me a surprise!!! I love them sooo much!! N thank u all for making the effort!!!! *Muacks*
I did take pictures but I'm waiting for Minah to send them to me and once i have everything I'll upload it for your viewing pleasure!!!

Poor girl fractured her leg while trying to prevent a fall....how ironic....sigh....
I fetched her from the hospital on Monday and been going over to cheer her up. I even wrote lovely words on her cast.

I had fun after a looooong time at my cousin sista's 16th birthday bash!!!!! It was great!!! My cousins are growing up sooo fast and I feel soooo old! Damn!!
But it was great! I had a great time with my cousins! N my niece had a great rocking the dance....yes...My 1 year old niece was rocking the dance floor better than the rest of us!! Hahaha!!!

My 25th birthday is coming up!

I'm so proud of meself! I spent the whole day at home today after a freaking looooong time! I didn't move out of the house, even to buy food! I ordered in McDonald's! I'm such a lazy pig!
I stayed as compensation for the entire Sunday being out. Went to get some essential shopping done and also met up with my project mates to work on my project. Its almost getting done and I still have another 3 more individual ones to finish. I'm dedicating this week to projects. I've gotto be an angel for at least this week. I'm trying my best to channel strong thoughts to myself....hehe....
Saturday was great! I had to attend my friend's ROM and Sumi's birthday bash all in one evening. But thank god for excellent time management....hehehe......me so thick skin rite! Hahahahaha!!!
My friend Radha looked lovely on her ROM and her bf was looking sooooooo goood!! I was checking him out!! Never had I done that before! But i stopped after they exchanged the rings la! hehehehe!!!
Sumi's birthday was great!!! We enjoyed ourselves alot gal!!! Thanks for inviting and U looked GREAT!!!!! Love those dresses!!!
It was a pity that the rest couldn't make it! So it was just me and ThugChic!! And we had fun, attacking the Chocolate Fondue and cracking jokes among ourselves!!
As always the Queen of Procastination struck and now I'm trying my best to finish my projects for which the deadlines are next week....damn...damn...damn....I'm fucked!

YaaTha!
The next time I say that I wanna go see some star at a shopping mall, I should get myself kicked in the ass!
I'm totally into Heroes! That show is great! And of course, i watch for another reason: Sendhil Ramamurthy! The Indian hottie in it! Damn, he's hot, super hot! Sizzling hot I should say! Ok ok, I'll stop...hehehe....
So he, together with some of the cast from Heroes were making a presence at Vivocity and I dragged Ganesha along since he was also a fanatic of that show. Boy, was I in for a shock when I was there......The place was freaking packed!!!! I didn't know that there would be sooooo many people who would be as crazy as me!!!!
I managed to squeeze thru the crowd and got myself a place near the red carpet. And i waited like for more than an hour to get a close-up glimpse of Sendhil Ramamurthy and this is the nearest i got:

Things happen when u least expect it....
I've been lazy.....very lazy.....hehe.....
I've been wanting to blog but then the laziness bugs hits me and i dont blog....hehe....
Ok, everything has been going a bit fine. I'm on the 'ORD' mood, trying very hard to clear my off. I have so much and yet my boss wants me around to help with her some stuff.I don't want to leave on bad note so I rather stay on and help her and fuck off forever....hehehe......and let them die on their own after that.....hehehehehe....horrible arent I...hehe.....
Its been 4 weeks since I clubbed! Isnt that great! I feel great! Not sleepy feelings, not guilty feelings! Let's see how long more I can go without clubbing! Being at home on a Saturday night is just sooooo lovely!!! I like!
I have updated alot of pics in Flickr. You can view them there. Pics taken on the last time I went clubbing, taken after we went to watch the drama, taken at Sentosa. The Sentosa ones are the funniest! All those funny and wierd poses! hehehe....Minah and I were like tourists!!
I had a nice farewell dinner from my boss on Saturday. After working late on Saturday, we hopped down to the NYDC at Holland Village and had a great dinner! That was very sweet of her. :)
There was this Cookie Monster next to my table and we took it and started entertaining ourselves with it while waiting for our food to arrive!
That's Wei Long (my temp) and me! N this is the whole gang of us, including our temp staff!
Life's been ok so far. Am just waiting for the new job to start. Good stuff have been happening around me! Two of my friends whom I introduced to each other are together now! I'm like soooo happy for them!!! Am keeping my fingers crossed that things would work out for them well!
I've learned that sometimes things happen when u least expect it....Something which I never ever thought about is happening. I have no idea whether its for good or bad but I guess I'll just live in the moment.....Let's just see how things work out.... :)

Moving on finally....
I finally took a big step and got out of my comfort zone.....
I tendered in my resignation yesterday. Got another job.
A much more challenging one (as if my life isn't challenging enough).....
I just thought of doing something, instead of being stuck at the same place....
Hopefully I made a good decision......*crosses fingers*
Change is always so scary.....damn.....I'm gonna miss everyone here.....I've had too many fond memories here at MOE......sigh......but Change is good....
I'm finally moving on.......

Chocolatey!!!
I cant believe that Sentosa has become so expensive! I was there on Saturday as Minah had some free tickets to a few attractions. At the end of the day, we calculated on how much we would have paid and we realised that we really saved alot with the free tickets. Most the attractions were not worth the price at all except for Underwater World but we didn't go for that.
But we really chose the wrong day to go there. The weather was freaking hot. Both of us were sweating and were totally tired at the end of the 'excursion'. But we had fun, chatting, taking crazy pictures!!
I'm still waiting for Minah to send me the pics. As always......Once she sends me, I'll upload them :) She owes me a lot of pictures!!
I've been having chocolates! N lots of them!!! In different variations!!! And now I have a huge pimple on my forehead and other small ones around my face, thanks to all that chocolate indulgence!!!
I tried 'Chocolate Prata'. I was very skeptical about it when Jonathan suggested it to me. I mean 'chocolate' and 'prata' dont really mix together. They sound so off when you picture them together. But i did try after some persuasion and I tell u its fantastic!!!! Shiok!!!
My colleague Shawn was telling me how the Missy Donuts at Bukit Panjang Plaza was very nice and people are always queuing in long queues just to buy it. So after tuition today, I went there and bought the donuts. They were really good!!! Yum yum!!!
I and my bro polished off everything in like 20 mins!!!! N as always i bought everything in chocolate and one in maple-tat's also chocolate wat.....heheheheheh.............
I'm going there for more!!!!!! :)

Miss or Mrs..
The weekend was good. I managed to have a good rest and at the same time, have some fun.
I went to watch this play by Pushpa Arumugam who is the drama teacher at Minah’s school. Titled ‘Miss?ed’, it touched on a very prominent yet easily ignorable topic in our Indian society….
Indian women and marriage….
What’s with Indian women and marriage? What’s so problematic about it-you may ask. Actually, this issue is far bigger than you think it is and this play hit the nail on the spot.
In the Indian society, an Indian women has to get married by a certain age, otherwise she is seen as being unwanted by the marriage market. She might lose her ‘value’, some say. In certain families, daughters get married just to make their parents happy and end up spending the rest of their lives in misery thanks to a wrong decision made, just to stop the wagging tongues. This is a mistake soooo many Indian ladies make. They succumb to the emotional stress they get from their family in order to save the face of their parents who are often questioned by so called 'concerned' relatives, on why their daughter is not married yet.
Many parents also get affected by the words of their relatives and try to force their daughters into getting married just so ask to stop people from talking, without thinking about what their daughters want or feel or whether their daughters are ready for commitment.
This drama was really down to earth with so many real-life scenarios and characters.
It’s a pity that only a few managed to see it. Only those who were interested in seeing it or were there to support the production cast.
It would be very good if Pushpa would be able to get it telecasted on TV. It would be able to reach out to more people and create more awareness.
I can say that its very rare that the Indian society is actually able to understand and really feel the views of Indian ladies….Sigh…..
And as always we were had a ball of a time together. When we ladies get together we always have fun. We is Me, Minah and Mariam, her new colleague.We were the ones laughing out loud most of the time. Sorry Kanzy for being sooo loud and disturbing the peace! Hehehe!!
We pigged out at Kenny Rogers, had Haagen Dazz ice-cream at Clarke Quay. Oh boy, my tummy was practically protruding out of my dress!! Took snaps here and there! I'm still waiting for Minah to send the pics that we took. Hopefully she sends them quick. She is always taking forever to send the pics!
